We take a teaching approach to training dogs that reinforces self-control, consciousness, and spiritual alignment. We are dedicated to bringing dogs to a higher state of consciousness and teaching them tools to manage the stresses that come with living a city life. Establishing mutual respect and communication are the pillars of DEN training.
TRAINING METHODOLOGY AT DEN
We know that every dog is unique and they learn and experience the world in different ways. Because of this, we structure and cater a training program to your dog's specific needs.
We use positive reinforcement, mystical techniques and fun games to encourage cognitive thinking, healthy ways of communicating, and the understanding of social cues and healthy boundaries. These games and fun exercise-drills lay the foundation for a well balanced and social pup.
We also use our senior pack members to help sculpt and teach healthy behaviors. Basic obedience is the foundation to be able to learn and grow into more exciting and complex training such as agility and tricks.
Improve your dog's recall under various distractions in this indoor/outdoor class. Dogs practice "touch" & "come" cues on a long line in different environments, around dogs, people, food, toys & more. Dogs learn to reliably come when called in various high-distraction environments. Have the confidence that your dog will come back to you on hikes, park trips, beach trips & all your adventures.
Structured obedience-training program for your puppy created to bring more balance to the relationship between you and your dog. Your pup will gain basic obedience training (sit, stay, heel, come), participate in daily pack hikes in nature, and benefit from daily daycare socialization and more. Each day there will be a mindfulness practice for you and your pup to practice together. Your furry family member will also be treated to a spa day. Let us aid you in creating a conscious bond with your puppy.
Add-on Boarding to your Puppy Day Camp and you give your puppy a great opportunity to set a really solid foundation and to get ahead of any behavioral issues that may develop down the road.
Scent Work - Monday, 10am or 11am
Did you know that dogs' noses are 100,000 times more sensitive than ours? In this Scent Work class, dogs use their most powerful sense to search for three target odors (birch, anise, clove) paired with treats. Dogs build confidence while learning to work independently and lead the search.
Zen Obedience - Tuesday, 3pm or 4pm
Dogs work harmoniously in this small-group class, learning pack manners around each other and basic obedience cues with distractions. A great training complement to our pack hikes.
Agility - Wednesday, 10am or 11am
This all-levels agility class is great exercise and enrichment! Dogs learn body awareness and build confidence learning obstacles such as the A-frame, jumps, tire jump, tunnel, and weave poles.
Trick Dog - Thursday, 3pm or 4pm
Dogs learn fun and cute tricks towards AKC Trick Dog titles! Great enrichment and endless trick combos for novice, Intermediate, or advanced dogs and puppies of all ages.
Community Canine - Friday, 10am or 11am
Dogs learn real world skills for a fun, positive experience in community settings. Dogs practice advanced obedience skills at our shaded outdoor coffee shop, picnic tables, office, or common areas for a well-rounded training experience that prepares them for the AKC Canine Good Citizen tests and all of life's adventures.
